I was very young when I picked up my first camera. Looking back, I am very impressed that my parents would continue to develop the rolls upon rolls of film that my sisters and I handed to them, upon their discovery that most of the pictures were of lined up barbie dolls and stuffed animals.
During my college years, I enrolled in multiple black and white film photography classes, and stumbled across a passion. I spent endless hours in the darkroom, completely obsessed with the images that slowly came into view.
The joy that came from the perfect captured moment back then, has not lessened -14 years later.
While photography has evolved into the instant gratification of the digital world, I endeavor to recreate the art of what photography was during the film era - benefiting from the convenience of digital photography, while recreating the softness of film - documenting the beauty and emotion of life's short moments
