Sean Gannon was born and raised in Toms River, New Jersey. Sean was not your average bean growing up, he was bursting with creativity and couldn't help his legs from twirling around the house. As a child, Sean would lock himself in his bedroom for hours and have fashion photo shoots with his posed beanie baby collection on a polaroid camera, which was the spark for his journey as a photographer. The twirling rejoiced and Sean enrolled in dance classes, where he was able to sculpt his artistic personality. Sean graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Dance in May 2011. During his senior year, Sean was discovered by a Brooklyn dance company, Company XIV, and performed and toured with them for three years. While with Company XIV, Sean gained an eye for aesthetic and the pleasure of visual stimulation, which lead him to pick up a camera again and direct from behind the lens.
Sean has studied photography at PhotoManhattan. Since deciding to explore photography, Sean has worked with various artists, Major League Baseball players, Musicians, and families. Sean has tons of experience in portrait photography but also has a keen eye for event photography.
As a photographer, Sean wants to document the moments you never want to forget. It is his mission to make you smile as you look back on some of the most exciting days in your life.
