Walter is a freelance commercial photographer out of Pembroke, MA on the south shore of Boston. He provides services to businesses ranging from corporate portraits to advertising photos for national publications. He also services families and couples. Walter carries commercial insurance and is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and Pembroke Chamber of Commerce.
Out of college Walter was a high-tech entrepreneur, having started two companies. During the last start-up effort, Walter raised $500K in capital from private investors and managed 12 employees. Before that he was a web programmer with experience at companies such as the Boston Globe, Lycos, Fidelity Capital, and Ziff-Davis. The combination of Walter's technology background and his business experience allow him to garner a greater understanding of his commercial customers' needs than the competition.
Walter is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in business administration. He formerly served in the Peace Corps in Tanzania, East Africa with his wife, Melinda. There Walter was able to teach approximately 400 Tanzanian nationals computer literacy skills, and he and his wife had the fortunate opportunity to take a group of Tanzanian high school students up Mt. Kilimanjaro. In addition to his passion for photography he's a martial arts enthusiast; he holds a brown belt in the art of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which he's been practicing for approximately seven years.
Walter works out of his in-home studio in Pembroke, MA where he lives with his wife Melinda and three boys, Camden, Paxton, and Beckett. Walter and his wife also live with, and care for, his quadriplegic sister-in-law, Kara.
