As someone who has always been drawn to animals and the arts, it was only a matter of time until I found a way to combine them!
Lucky enough to grow up working with all different types of animals I have gotten the opportunity to watch the fantastic bonds between people and animals, and seeing how there is nothing more amazing than the pure love of a strong bond. Except for the little things - tail wags, play, and general silliness!
After seeing the ability photographs had to preserve split-second moments that you'd never otherwise see, I knew I needed to be a part of it! Now my style is a bit different than other people, I aim for those moments of fun and play where your pal is entirely themselves. The moments that truly can define them, whether it be as fun-loving, relaxed, energetic. Animals are more than just look - they are attitude, personality, and they are individuals.
The same thing can be shot a million different ways, my way is as they are. I'm not a fan of posed and forced photographs where you plan every detail. When you look back on these shots you don't see fun memories or genuine emotions, you see things looking how they're told to. You see objects that are posed. And do they look the best and feel the most genuine? It is without a doubt that I can tell you: candid shots, action shots, etc. include more emotion than posed shots could ever contain. After all, which shots do you love, feel, and enjoy? A picture taken without being planned, or your completely planned yearbook picture? My photographs have been featured in Denise Fleck's book Pet First Aid 4 Kids, Animal Sheltering May/June 2014 Magazine (article: Learning the ROPs), and more are in the works!
Aside from just experience with the camera and playing with dogs, I provide extra peace of mind being Pet First Aid & CPCR Certified. If (all-forbid!) anything goes wrong, we can fix it starting things immediately and give your pet the best chance. Prevention is the best remedy though, and so I vigilantly do watch out for signs of discomfort or trouble from animals that may lead to problems with anyone's safety.
I look forward to you contacting me! Don't hesitate with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have!
