My name is Tammy Hardy, I am a full-time police officer /motor officer in Maryland. On April 2, 2007, I was involved in a catastrophic motorcycle accident on duty that left me permanently disabled . I was off of work for 3 years fighting infections, numerous setbacks and enduring 21 surgeries. I faced the very real possibility that 1) I would lose my right leg and 2) my police career was over. In the 3 years of dealing with all of this I learned a lifetime of valuable lessons to include the following: that attitude is everything, the human body is amazing, family means everything, how to reinvent yourself emotionally and physically, that we are truly not in control of anything and that God always knows what's best for us...always! I had some days where I wanted to feel sorry for myself and focus on the loss and all the negatives surrounding the accident. I can remember someone telling me to count all the things that I had and stop focusing on things that I lost or didn't have at the time. I thought about it and realized that I have a million things to be thankful for and from that point on no matter how hard it was I looked forward and set goals. My number one goal was to "pay it forward". I wanted to give back to the folks that helped me out and I figured out in a small way how to do that...with my photography. I am an avid outdoorsman and love to hunt, fish, ride atvs, go boating and spending time with my family, friends and my 3 dogs Luke, Molly and Kayla! I really enjoy taking pictures in my spare time , specializing in law enforcement photographs, family portraits, sports photography and landscape photography. This website is dedicated to my family, to the men and women in Law Enforcement and to the members of the Armed Services who continue to put their lives on the line for this great country every single day. And if you are wondering, yes I got back on the motor. I decided that it was best for my family and I that I stay off of it and stick to the 4 wheels of my police cruiser!
