About

Mike Stone Photography located near Nashua,New Hampshire provides Sports photography services.

As a kid, I would run around with my Fisher Price camera, snapping photos of my friends, family, dog, and even my toys. Maybe I'm overly nostalgic, but to this day those are still some of my favorite pictures.

When I was 11, I spent two weeks in Europe and brought my parents' little 35mm point-and-shoot along for the ride, taking nearly 500 photos. That may seem like a small number in today's click-happy world of digital photography, but rest assured I spent more time searching the gift shops to replenish my supply of 32-exposure ISO 400 film than I did looking for gifts for my family (sorry guys).

I got my first 35mm SLR camera when I was 15, and this is the camera that really got me into photography. I took two classes in high school with it and was a teacher's assistant for the advanced class as a senior. By that time, I knew that I wanted photography to be, at the very least, a serious hobby going forward.

Fast-forward six years and two digital cameras later, and I've finally made photography a constant element in my life. Although I may have shed a tear when I walked out of the darkroom in college for the last time and locked the door behind me, knowing that I may never develop my own film or make my own prints again (but certainly not giving up hope that it could happen again!), my passion for photography is still the same now that I've entered the digital realm.

While my original love was for landscape photography, and it is still a great love of mine, I have turned most of my attention to sports in an effort to provide the athletes and their families with images and memories they can have for the rest of their lives. Photos shouldn't just capture moments in time; they should tell entire stories and allow people to relive those moments every time they see the photo(s).

By day I'm an IT Specialist for a major athletic apparel company, but on nights and weekends I can be found....somewhere....with my camera. So if you see me around the rinks, fields, ballparks, courts, or anywhere else, say hi! If you'd like me to photograph something for you, feel free to use my Contact page or shoot me an e-mail at Mike@MikeStonePhotography.com. Likewise if you have questions about any of the photos, ordering products, etc.

Thank you!
