Corey J. Thomas
I was born in central Kentucky in 1989. I started making photographs in 2005 during a high school photo class, where I got my first taste of film development and capturing images. From then on it's been my dream to shoot for National Geographic. I started diving while attending college at East Carolina University, where I graduated with a BS in Media Production, in May 2011. I was certified by the National Association of Underwater Instructors, or NAUI, as a Scuba Diving Instructor in April 2012. From then I worked as an instructor, divemaster, and guide on many islands of the Caribbean and Alaska, gaining enough sea time to earned the MCA 200 ton Master of Yachts Limited license in March 2014. I also have ambitions to travel the world and dive the waters of this planet. I specialize in underwater and nature imaging, I'm an experienced camera operator, editor, and director of photography. I am seeking challenging and rewarding projects with organizations committed to the conservation of the worlds waters.
