“Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.” — Franz Kafka
About me: Born in West Virginia, I bounced around the country ultimately landing in North Carolina where I went to school, graduated and have lived for twenty plus years.
I like photography, adventure, reading, writing, painting, science, observing, questions, sleeping, thinking, philosophizing, art, movies, television, music, listening, long enlightening witty conversations, comfortable silences, traveling, solitude, fearless self-exploration, laughing till I cry, extraordinary communication, authenticity, beautiful breathtaking moments, loving with every pathetic and passionate romantic ounce within me, unwavering compassion, sarcasm, dark humor, learning, words, nature, walking, and tennis.
I am candid, genuine, inquisitive, quirky, compassionate, empathetic, solitary, philosophical, skeptical, and analytical. I am an observer and am rarely the center of conversation. I am extremely independent. I am an artist, a creator. I live and love passionately.
My photography style: Simple, Elegant, Feminine, Sensual, Fun, and artistic. I LOVE to emulate film high grain, black and white, soft and dark, but do not shy away from bold and bright colors and high contrast. Self-taught, I believe the secret to any great portrait is the connection the photographer has with the subject.
I have 25+ years of client service experience, 20+ years of being a photographer, 20 years of Photoshop experience, and 10+ years of being a professional photographer. My technical expertise is with posing, lighting, developing a story, and editing. My creations may look candid, but I develop that through posing, interaction, connection, lighting, developing the story, and editing the finishing product to be a beautiful piece of art.
What do my clients receive? Dedicated client service, a memorable and lasting experience, and exclusive art. We have loads of fun and create some great art.
