A little about me
Born into the photography industry, Lorikay had her first camera at the age of 6. Her family history in photography dates back four generations to the founding of Kodak.
Lorikay Stone is the first in her family to be a professional photographer, although her grandfather also had the gift of capturing life through film. Part of her grandfather’s work as a chemist involved designing many elements of film including glue and film cement for Kodak, which led him to taking many photos around the world and developing them with methods he helped create.
Over the years, Lorikay has photographed hundreds of professionals in all aspects of their life including headshots, couples shots, maternity and children, business events, galas, conferences, jewelry, and more. Not limited to business professionals, she also photographs comp cards also known as Zed cards for actors, models and musicians.
During each photo shoot, Lorikay works with the client to make them feel comfortable, discuss their goals for the photos and capture them in the moment that they are most in tune with their greatness.

The thought of having my picture taken makes me grit my teeth. Really. Hard. So when two different people in my professional network independently recommended Lorikay Photography for my professional and entrepreneurial headshots, I reluctantly trudged to her studio as if headed for The Gallows. The photographic results speak for themselves. But what made the difference was outside the frame. It was the way Lorikay converted a dreaded to-do item to be endured and checked off the list into a fun experience that brought out smiles instead of glowers. She started by asking me about who I was, not how I might want to fake an image or look "as expected." She worked to bring out a person, not pose a facade. That's a crucial difference that you can see in her photos. She captures people and emotions, not static images of faces or a pose held for interminable seconds for the sake of the camera. And she can spot a fake smile from across the room. (Ask me how I know.) If you want a camera operator, there are a bazillion of those available. If you want someone who draws out and captures YOU, then give Lorikay a call.
